Mar. 4, 2017, The Arl. Genealogy Society teamed with the Arl. Public Library at the "Arlington Texas Stake Family History Center" searching for Genealogy Enthusiasts.

"Lineage Panel" of multiple speakers (right to left).
Jeanne Rives spoke on the Daughters of the Republic of Texas,
Dorothy Rencurrel spoke on the Daughters of the American Revolution,
Cherry Williams spoke on the Daughters of the War of 1812,
John Anderson spoke on the Sons of the American Revolution,
Ron Carter spoke on the Mayflower Society
and the Carter Society.
Apr. 11, 2017, The Arl. Genealogy Society program was a video presentation from RootsTech 2016 on "Five Steps to Identify a Family Photo" by Maureen Taylor.

Oct. 10, 2017, A Rootstech streaming video on using census records was presented to the AGS membership.
The remaining Officer inductions were completed, Larry Howser of the Genealogy Resources Committee made the motion to support the public library with a directed use donation for new fiche equipment, and several candid photos were taken.
Nov. 14, 2017 Opening the meeting, presiding officers Toby Hurley and Jan Penland gave each visitor an opportunity to introduce themselves and identify their family research interests.

Nov. 14, 2017 Marilyn Hay of Tarrant County College, gave us a presentation on Family Tree Maker - Hidden Features.


Nov. 15, 2017, Our Genealogy Resources Committee and others presented a $14,000 directed use check to the Arlington Public Library for new state of the art fiche equipment. The equipment is scheduled to up and available for public use with the new library Grand Opening late next spring.
